No, he doesn't. The advice he gives is dangerously stupid - the number one rule of survival is to stay put when you're lost, and he breaks it in *every single show.*

Past that, he has also encouraged scaling high cliffs for a few hundred calories, drinking your own urine, jumping off a cliff into water of unknown depth to escape from a bear, and many other equally suicidal pieces of advice. Want survival knowledge? Watch survivorman.
