RYLAND BOUCHARD - "LOVER" (Portland, OR, Super 8 Film, 8mm)

RYLAND BOUCHARD, "LOVER" was shot on Super 8 film for the SEEDS box set in Portland, OR in August of 2008. Directed by Ryland Bouchard. All footage was shot with natural lighting and no digital effects or editing was used in the making of the film. In total, two reels of Kodak Ektachrome 64T film were used for the duration of the film. Most of the footage was shot with a broken Technicolor Super 8 camera with a faulty motor that would randomly work - the quick cuts were because of this and not from any digital editing. The trees in the break were shot with a Bell and Howell Super 8 camera with a bad light meter battery, resulting in a beautiful set over-exposed shots.
