Jetpacks Was Yes! (Periphery vocal cover with autotune)

First time I've sang properly in about 3/4 months so my voice is a little shaky. Recorded it whilst scrunched up in a ball in the smallest wardrobe ever, so forgive me if there are fuck ups. Done the best I could with harmony parts but I missed a few bits...just a rough recording anyway. My screams aren't back up to par yet, but it's been a while so that was expected. I know I said I wouldn't use autotune again, I just had to touch up a few parts where my voice cracked. All comments welcome, but if you feel the need to criticise, please make it constructive. Hope you enjoy :)

dude i like it alot, and i was on tour with them when they played this song live, i do merch and guitar tech for born of osiris, and i will tell you this, its probley the hardest song to sing on the album, so i would try it without auto tune and go falsetto on the stuff you cant reach

@YOUDOITAGAIN Thanks for the comment, it's definitely a tough one to sing. I'm gonna give it some more practice then try my luck without autotune as I think I can nail this if I really try. It's not so much hitting the high notes, it's just holding them I find more difficult. Thanks for the feedback dude!

Sounds alright man, do it without AutoTune though, and try and bring the vocal through a bit in the mix, its a bit quiet.

@Alchemaeon Gonna give it another bash soon without autotune. Just used it cause it was my first attempt at that song and my first time singin in ages. Cheers man, and autotune IS for asscum with men's vaginas.

Not bad performance wise but from a production standpoint you need to ditch auto tune and start using melodyne desperately. Also I would suggest getting the waves mercury bundle and put the SSL compressor on your input as well as the track you record onto followed by the RAXX compressor and a better EQ.

Guys, stop with the hater comments.. It is REALLY hard to get this high up in the tenor voice (unless you have it naturally which i don't) . I think this is really great! Ofcourse a little bit shaky but the you will get there, just practice! :)

But I agree about the autotune, drop it! :)
