ok guys, i just thought of something, a long time before bleach aired, the first episode of a show called yu yu hakusho. in this particular show, there are kind of traces that maybe were used to build bleach. even in the first episode they talk about spirit energy, and later on a guy makes a spirit sword, that can grow when the kwabara gets stronger, ring a bell? spirit power, there are many many traits that show that , even though the storyline is origional, much of the basics are similar.
