Typical kid only thinking about presents. Technically leap year shouldn't exist. There are several better calendars that fit every day of the solar and earth cycle in one perfectly uniform calendar. Leap year was a mathematical retardation, the birthday should be changed to the to fit the birthday, if a kid is born on the twenty ninth, then on the 29th day after Feb 1st they should have a birthday instead of waiting for leapyear. Even if it means extending a bit to the next month.

Happy Birthday Lizzie! The solution to your problem is that in years that aren't leap year to celebrate your birthday on Feb. 28th AND March 1st. That way you'll get twice as many presents. Good luck!

go leap day babies! i was also born on leap year '96, so i'll be 3 on feb. 29 this year :) ah well, it is what it is. Just find comfort in the fact that you'll allways be younger than most people you meet...
