I'm sure the phlebotomist thought I am another one of those Silicon Valley whackjobs (which is probably true).

  • To me, it looks like a straw. Rollercoaster, rollercoaster!

  • ACTUALLY the phlebotomist should have removed the vaccuum tube before withdrawing the needle. This needs to be done to avoid bruising for those of you who don't know.

  • @meeb1212 As a phlebotomist, I use latex-free gloves, tourniquets, and even syringes. Asking for those kind of allergies is a waste of time. You said that he did not put the syringe in the sharps container but it didn't even show that part so how would you know if he did or did not? You said that he did not roll the cotton ball after the butterfly was removed, but cotton balls arent used, gauze pads are because the cotton fibers can cause infections and stick to the site. You have alot to learn.

  • air must have gotten sucked into the vacutainer, what if airborne pathogens got sucked in?.... contaminated blood

  • I see many wrongs in this video first of all he did not use a sharps container and he did not ask 4 latex alergies he did not place the cotton ball atleast 1 inch from the needle cite and roll over 2 the site after he pulled out the needle and no mayo towel and lastly he did not need to use oth hands 2 stick in the needle I am workin in phlembotomy

  • @HMQ11 as long as the bevel is up

  • that needle is backwards

  • @datgirlashley713 Why do you think its a butterfly..keep its from rolling cause the wings give it stability.

  • you shouldnt let that needle jus sit their on a persons vein....

  • you should remove the last tube first before removing the needle from the vein. this is to prevent any pain associated with the removal of the needle, due to the suction effect of the last tube in the holder.
