I donno what the guy said to you but I'm deaf in my right ear. And it's not a funny matter. I was very scared for a long time about losing my hearing, cause I only have the one good ear. I can't even think about it or I get freaked. I don't think about it, I keep it hidden in my laments

I don't take offense to what you're saying. I'm half deaf, so in a sense you are correct. The Mechanix is probably the best example of what I mean, you can't here the individual strumming, it sounds blurred in a way.

The recording quality isn't very good that is true. But in my opinion this raw sound gives it's charm. and I can hear the guitar just fine. I have no problem in identifying the instruments (maybe the bass is a exception sometimes).
Don't take me badly, but maybe you should train your ears a bit more. Cause if you like guitar, this album is for you. Believe me. There's a lot more in Killing is my business than just speed.

@mkaspecter Nothing wrong with that. I frankly think that there are a lot of aspects of both bands that I like and dislike. I like Megadeth's creativity and technicality, but they do get wrapped up in it some times. I like Metallica's melody and raw sound that they had on their first few records, but their consistency leaves something to be desired. I feel it's very hard for me to decide between the two, but for consistency's sake, I'd say I prefer Megadeth, but just barely.

@thefateshavewarned I realize this. I read all about it. I just prefer quality over speed. It's im ipressive how Megadeth can play so fast, but if I can't make out the sounds of the guitar, I'd rather not listen to it. This and Looking Down the Cross are the good ones of this album for that reason. Metallica has some fast songs, but they play CLEARLY, that's why I like them better. Even their new albums have rhythm, the sound just isn't AS good.

@mkaspecter Part of the problem is the production on this album. Dave and the band wasted most of the money on drugs and a lot of the budget for the album was lost. They had rather poor equipment and it didn't come out the way it should have. And I agree with you on the fact that I like Metallica's early guitar sound as opposed to Megadeth's. Metallica's was louder and more pronounced, while Megadeth's was a little more dirty and hard to make out at times.

@antoniorodrigues27 The main issue I have with this album is that they play so fuckin fast I can't hear the sound of the damn guitar. Seeing as how that's my favorite part of a heavy metal song, I think it ruins the song when all they want to do is show off how fast they can play. It's impressive yes, but in the end it is no longer a worth while song to listen to.

ok, here we go again.
Another Metallica's fanboy...
master is good album but Killing is way more brutal. Its faster and heavier than any metallica's album (MoP included) and you can't argue with that.
What we hear in Killing is my business is pure anger and a frantic speed.
If you don't like the album and thinks that master is better, well...it's your opinion. But mine is: Killing is my business is the best thrash album ever and my favorite of all.

@antoniorodrigues27 are you kidding me? This is the only good song off this album other than Looking Down The Cross. Master of Puppets definitely tops this album... and all others.

I love this song! Metallica is way better though.
