@vxenon67 I believe this was when he had appendicitis. If not, then it was when he was very sick and just couldn't make it.

The same concert was recorded by the NRU in a van ouside.
Still only a lot of ambience and band sound, almost no vocals but in high quality mono.

Pure mayham absolute Beatlemania! These Dutch kids were so lucky to enjoy such freedom.....I've seen documentaries of them in Spain, France and Italy and the kids were so incredibly opressed by the governments, so much more conservative! But they got to see them too.

Jimmy may have been a nice drummer, but the style wasn't the same as Ringo. Look at the physical posture...

@MastroDutch great Groeten uit Los Angeles en voorheen Purmerend.

@puzleman1 It's an Auction Hall for Produce, in the North of Holland. Close to My Hometown. Look it up on the map. They used to organize big shows like that there. Always Dutch opening acts.

@vxenon67 tonsels taken out , Replaced by Jimmy Nichol. The rest of the tour was Australia and New Zealand. 1964. The only Beatles visit to Holland.

Seriously, how could they have risen any higher??! Their songs are even being played in outerspace for aliens to hear or something! ;)
As for the drumming, I don't find it a lot different from Ringo's in this particular song.
Later on Ringo did very subtle, original and impressive drumming in songs like Strawberry fields and A day in a life. I always felt his drumming achieved perfectly what each song needed.
