The Kapil Dhara waterfalls on the banks of the Narmada river is 100 ft tall and near the origin of the Narmada river (6 kms). Near the Kapildhara is the Kapil Ashram where sage Kapil (after whom the waterfall is named) meditated and wrote the sankhya philosophy. Two streams - Kapila and Erandi meet the Narmada river to form the beautiful Kapil Dhara Waterfall.
Kapil Dhara, surrounded by dense forests and is near Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, India and takes about 5 hours from Raipur city of Chattisgarh, India. On the way you pass through the Achanakmar tiger reserve.
