After Bobby Abreu was granted timeout by the home plate umpire, Josh Beckett continued his delivery and fired a ball over Abreu's head. This is the skurmish that followed. 4 Angels, Justin Spier, Torii Hunter, Mickey Hatcher and Manager Mike Scoscia were ejected.

Its not that easy to stop your delivery once you have commited to going to the plate. Those guys throw so hard, he could have hurt himself trying to pull up mid delivery.
