@redbluequad he said that 99% of his wealth will be donated to the Gates foundation upon his death

@Sentinel3007 The number is going up. This is like 30-50% of his life savings! Talk about generous...

Blimey - what a scoop you've discovered. Why don't you sell your story to all the papers?! I can see the headline now 'British man reveals biggest charity scam in history'.
Just think of how much money you'd make revealing such a top quality story to the international press! (A reward which you'd immediately donate to charity.....ahem....of course.)
Or you could be wrong - in which case you could be quiet. Your choice....

Where's the evidence?
A couple of years ago they said he was giving away all his wealth to the Gates foundation. Yet since that announcement he has been one of the top 3 wealthiest individuals in the world. How can he stay on the list if he gave his wealth away?
It is a PR stunt to make him look good.

All he's given the poor is about 20 billion dollars. How much have you given?

redbluequad - You need to educate yourself, it doesn't work like that. He is giving away SHARES over time. He did not give the foundation cash. The amount of his BRK shares that he is *graduallly* giving away over time was worth 37 billion in 2006. It is very possible what the foundation receives will be far more than that in the end - or less if the shares value decreases.
You will see him drop further on the money list as more of his shares are given to the foundation each year.
