Classic Game Room HD reviews SPACE INVADERS for Atari 5200 from 1982. Originally created by Taito for the arcades in 1978, Space Invaders sees a unique translation for the Atari 5200 with many changes from the Atari 2600 version and original arcade coin-op. This CGRHD review has gameplay footage from Space Invaders for Atari 5200 showing the different varieties of aliens and colorful enemies that invade you from space, or invade your space... whatever. An excellent game somewhat spoiled by the uniquely awful Atari 5200 analog non self centering controller, Space Invaders packs hours of challenging game play as well as 12 different settings / difficulty levels.

  • Today, it still stomps, the very nice 2600. Sorry it just does.

  • @BrutallyHonestGamer My 5200 is in the mail to me as we speak and owning 13 other systems, wiout ps3 or wii, I KNOW that I will be playing the absolute shit out of my 5200, Fosho!

  • The thing I like most, besides overhauled graphics, is the Slight game acceleration.

  • Man that last alien goes hard as a motherfucker.

  • "West..apparently.." Lol

  • wow, you actually bitch about the controller when all you do is go back and forth and hit a button. I'm sorry, but I've watched many of your reviews and can no longer take any of them serious, especially since I also own all of these games myself. I hope nobody is turned off watching these videos, the 5200 is a great system and HONESTLY, the controller is not nearly as bad as this guy makes it out to be.

  • @209938488 The point of the 7800 is it's 2 systems in 1. It plays 2600 games and 7800 games. NOT 5200 games. 5200 games are way bigger and has no place to go into a 7800.

  • @Bp323 He did say that there are 12 game variations. That's still a good amount for replay value. :)

  • I work in the united states Earth protection society,

and yes, we have leather seats when we are simulating :)
