  • I think the 60's and 70's was just a time of all kinds of abstract and inventive expression and she was right there at the top of the abstracity!

  • Monk's work is truly impressive. Actually it is very simple. Not much overblown philosophy behind the images and the vocal concept. Incredible what she can do with that voice of hers.

  • This is incredible artistry.  She's so gifted and intelligent. I can't believe she made this piece in her 20s.
