A discussion of collectivism, and the political and intellectual ideologies which underpin it. Also introduces basic concepts of archetypal psychology. Outlines the debate between collectivism and individualism.

Using original animations and frequent cultural references, the piece is intended to be entertaining and engaging for any audience, despite its somewhat difficult subject matter.

Featuring Alex Jones, Steven Pinker (MIT), Peter Joseph (creator of the "Zeitgeist" films), G. Edward Griffin, and Joseph Campbell (mythologist).

(First in a series).

  • We're geneticaly predisposed to be behavioraly plastic, contingent on environmental influences. What does this mean?It means that it's both nature and nurture:that through social learning, culture, and environmentally evoked behavior and preferences,we become what we are--an environmentally adaptive species, which has evolved to be so.Just as the language you speak is environmentally determined, but the ability to speak it is not, this is so for a whole host of behaviors and social characteristics

  • Very well said. Your comment captures the complexities of the points we are making. When it comes to the old "nature v nurture" question, we arrived at the very same conclusion. Some folks misunderstood our thesis as being: "man is all nature and no nurture" but all we are saying is "man is NOT 100% nurture."

  • We also argue that the components of man's psyche which ARE inborn are fundamentally important to understanding the true value of the individual, and to ignore these inborn components (i.e. the 'blank slate' theory) is a dangerous mistake.

  • EVIL>>>>E=Energy + VILE=Ignorance. Energy + Ignorance=EVIL......Lingusitics. Yes, Evil exists! What is more energetic and ignorant than street thug or a person who robs, rapes and pillages for no reason or for some ignorant reason.

  • When will folks realize they are only experiencing the outward shell of reality. You are on the right track. There is so very much that constitutes us. Environment has only a limited effect on us. In this mortal phase of existence we shall write only on the surface through our own efforts.

  • Why subliminal gnome?

  • This is new to me....I like so far...lets check it out!

I would argue though that humans are simultaneously individuals and social animals; just look at how cooperation between individuals leads to great things (besides leading to horrible things).

  • What is the connection between collectivism, and the misery we are seeing in the current era individualism?

Does the neoconservative view that there is no such thing as morality fit in this somewhere?

Btw, no argument from me that the human mind is a product from both nurture and nature - which also is the accepted view within the sciences that deal with the human mind.

  • Monetary system Perpetuates LIMITED resources. Why? Simple. The smaller amount of something in existence the more its worth. ex. OIL, Clean Water, Diamonds.

Could u sell water next 2 a mountain spring with clean water?

What we see today IS a product of the monetary sys. Not Fiat currency. This system CREATED the environment 4 Fiat currency.

Corruption is Inevitable in a system that perpetuates it.

    No difference then BS "security"

    "Injustice Anywhere Threatens Justice Everywhere"

  • Let me try to make a big statement with a simple point.

You raise a young child in a basement. Chain him to a wall, and feed him dirt. Please tell me the value of his free will.

You raise a 1 year old buddhist boy in nazi germany. He never once hears/sees any type of buddhist philosophy, will he grow up to be a buddhist?

The language section was a joke. The human body evolves through one lifetime to have complex skills of speaking. Which language he speaks is ENTIRELY environment.
