The Dalai Lama says he's not stepping down anytime soon. He believes it's his moral responsibilty to lead the helm of the free Tibet movement as long as he's alive. Here's more.
After six days of talks with Tibet's government-in-exile in India the Dalai Lama has dismissed any speculation that he may retire.

The speculation intensified amid fears about his health earlier this year.

But Tibet's spiritual leader says he will never step down.

[Dalai Lama]:
"Till this body remain the name of Tibetan there. So moral responsibility, till my death moral responsibility always there. There is no point or question of retirement."

A day earlier Tibet's exiled government agreed to stick with the Dalai Lama's Middle Way plan for Tibet.

He had called for a review because of frustration over the lack of progress in talks with China.

The Middle Way abandons the dream of an independent state but instead seeks greater autonomy for Tibet as a part of China

The exiles are warning that could change.

[Gyari Dolma, Tibetan Government-in-Exile]:
"If China does not respond positively to our initiative then there is no option left for us than to go for complete independence."

A meeting of more than 100 international support groups is due to take place in Delhi later this month which the Dalai Lama says should give a clearer picture of the way forward.

  • LONG LIVE H.H. THE DALAI LAMA.

  • 达赖喇嘛万岁 = LONG LIVE THE DALAI LAMA

  • The Dalai Lama demands religious freedom. Yet he persecutes a Buddhist sect that worships a deity called Dorje Shugden He poses as quirky, giggly, modern monk who once auctioned his Land Rover on eBay for $80,000 and has even done an advert for Apple . DLhas been remarkably nepotistic, appointing members of his family to many positions of prominence. In recent years, 3 of the 6 members of Kashag, the highest executive branch of Tibetan govt-in-exile, have been close relatives of Dalai Lama.

  • Long Live and good health to H.H. Gyalwa Rinpoche!
