My name is Penti Baihua. I live with my family. It is important that the world knows who we are. We want to live like our ancestors; we want to live a life of hunting and fishing. We don't want our kids to die; we want our people to live on for generations, to live like Huaorani. The government doesn't want to allow us to hunt or fish, but this is our jungle; our ancestors defended this territory, and it is our responsibility to protect it. Lots of people say indigenous people don't live here, in the Intangible Zone, but we do. The Tagaeri are the same people -- they share the same home, the same rain forest, and use the same weapons as us. We have to fight the government on paper, so that we may live in peace. We are defending our way of life.

  • @lubetubeful Mexico is in North America.

  • @niamtxiv here, here.

  • Yeh those missionaries! Who do they think they are? Giving up their comforts, families, and friends, to go live in the middle of nowhere. They push their knowledge of better more efficient farming techniques, modern medecine, and general education on these poor people. Worst of all they invite people to meetings where they share thir beliefs that caused them to care in the first place. Who do they think they are!

  • i would love to go see these people and kill them ,,i have ancestral rights as much as anyone and my ancestors would have kicked his spider eating ass

  • let's start with building a school there ... <_< uh com' on don't look at me like that! school is good ... for education, education is good, to get job, become a good member of society ... then, open a macdonalds near the school to cater for OUR students ... RIGHT? xD

  • @jonbap426

The natives Spanish because of the Spanish colonization in the New World. Do you live in the U.S.? Ah, well if so, then that explains your lack of knowledge. What language do you speak? English, right? And, what language do the current (if very few) Native Americans speak in the United States?

  • He sounds like he's speaking straight textbook Spanish.

  • @AlexMOFUKA you are not the only one... they speak broken Spanish, hard to understand...

  • This sucks theres no subtitles or anything so what's the point of sharing it with us. I have no clue what he's saying.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common people.
