  • @bbqdad123 Sorry for the wait. I'm Ryan, the new Social Media Manager at PreSonus. I'm monitoring YT comments like yours daily. Unfortunately, your issue is complex and can't really be troubleshot via YT comments. I will, however, DM you the link to tech support immediately. Cheers!

I have the same question, its been 7 months, any one answer this? Can you just create your own wifi from the master lap top to the slave lap top to create data flow without an official connection to the i-net , as they say must be done?

  • If there's no interenet? Is there another way to connect both laptops? or an ipad? DOES the whole Remote idea depend on a internet connection?

  • Hey Rick, Wow I have the exact problem as jhinkens! I am trying to use the board with my 15 in macbookpro and can't get it to shown the faders either! I've got to find a solution! Perhaps that can be something they fix in the next update bc u the user should def have the option. Let me know if there is a solution please. Thanks for all ur very helpful videos!

  • Hey Rick,

I see you've got the faders displayed in VSL on your MacBook. Is it a 17" screen? When I launch VSL on my MacBook Pro 15" the faders display as round knobs. I read on the forum that it does that automatically when the screen resolution drops below 920 or so. My 15" MacBook Pro has a default resolution of 1440 by 900. How'd you do it?

    Thanks

    BJD

  • @excelsiorent All you have to do is leave the board in 'FADER LOCATE' mode. This is a button on the top of the board. When you press this, the LED's show you the actual level of the faders so that if you change them with VSL, you can move them to the correct level before activating the audio so you don't have a jump in levels.

  • @ricknaqvi - any insight on how controlling faders on VSL will affect fader position on the StudioLive without flying fader reaction? What will happen when you retake control of faders on the mixer after having adjusted on VSL?

  • You can do it with one laptop and an iPhone/iPad/iPOD Touch. Check out the Part Two of this video where I show controlling VSL on an iPhone.
