  • I lived in B Quad, B725 1977-1979 except lifeguard duty at Fort Derussy for 6 months. Thanks Uncle Sam and all the chicks that slept with me.

  • @LightNique LOL! atleast you are close to the A quad Mess hall which serves better food.

  • @LightNique Seriously? I thought the airforce base down near waimanalo waasnt that nice

  • I live on Schofield now in B quad and it is not pretty!!! Because B quad is the oldest quad there isn't much they can do there...

  • My Dad was 1SG HHC 1/61 61-64. I remember those bays and living conditions from my time when I went in the Army in 71. Times change.

  • Hey Pudgy Dog! I thought our barracks were just fine., kind of like civilian college dorms. But two blocks over, man, the 25th was not living in comfort. No one would say the 25th doesn't deserve comfortable barracks... when they ARE on base. God bless them. Everytime I see the Army getting into a skirmish, I pray, but double it for our cuzins in the 25th. Spec. Mark Newman, Schofield Barracks 1986 to 1988 4th Platoon Bravo Co. 732nd of the 703rd Intel. (now called something like the 500th...)

  • Be weird to see the base now. But for the important thing, I hope Burger King is still there LOL! I would of starved without it! Schofield from 1985-89. 703rd MI. (and props to our neighbors, the 25th LI, brothers have been kicking serious ass).

  • I was in C-Quad (Bldg 357) from JUL 92 to APR 95 in B-4/22. I kind of miss the old 4-man rooms and latrines across the lanai. In the other 14 years I was in I never had better buddies than I made there.

  • Sure, unless you live in the "historic barracks", they still suck. D quad I think

  • was ther for month of April 1981 on op Pacific Bond 81, exchange between Aust army & The yanks ,was part of C company 65th combat engineer battalion ,co was Capt Byron Elliot Short. the things that stick in your mind
