Nike Missile (IFC) Hill 88

High a-top Wolf Ridge in the Marin Headlands, sits what remains of the Integrated Fire Control (IFC) facility SF-88, known as "Hill 88". During the Cold War era the US military set up Nike Missiles sites around many parts of the United States. These surface to air missiles where intended to protect against attacks by enemy bombers. Hill 88 was only the IFC as the missile sites were located away from here.

2 questions! Is it considered tresspassing 2 go there?? and what are ur absolute FAVORITE batterys or old military sites in the bay area? I recently stubbled upon one so now im fasinated, an would like to see all the the best places. thankyou!

@natalieandjessicaful Yes to your first ?, though most people go in, It is a great hike though. I enjoy the Marin Headland area the most. I like them all. Check them out one at a time. Unless they are locked or in a fenced in, you can enjoy the Battery's.

if this is the site on top of malhalland drive in LA California then its been there a long time longer then most sites have been around so its a dangerous place to be around, stay out side the fenced area and your ok,

take my advice and stay out of there the walls are probley still radio active, we had to ware tags that showed radiation levels while we where in the silo's under ground more then likeley the walls are radio active its a danger stay away from there ok your probley ok because it takes a long time to absorb enough radation to do damage, but there saying now just small amounts are dangerous so stay out of there ok,

the area your saying is the ICC is not that building this is where the missles are put together, and the IFC is not located in the radar area thats the radar area with the big cement pods are,, their use to be big round radar domes siting atop the cement pods, the IFC is only located in the lounch area where the missles are fired and located both are stored 100 feet under ground protected from any accident that might happen,
