My son recently turned 3 years old and for the first 2 1/2 years of his life I knew something wasn't quite right. I had him evaluated and learned he has sensory processing disorder and possibly autism. His symptoms include speech delay, sensory issues, and social and emotional disabilities (which include poor self regulation). By creating this activity schedule for my son, it has changed both of our lives! It gives him a sense of control over his life, which if you can imagine at times for him he feels completely out of control because his environment is acting on him. We have a long way to go, but we are taking small steps in the RIGHT direction.
Thanks My 4 year olds teacher has said that she was going to make my Daughter something like this for home. my 4 year old suffers from Aperxia, Dyspraxia and Sensoery processing disorder/intergration dysfunction!
somedays are realy hard with her to get her dressed and to even combe her hair is a nightmare in the morning so she wanted to get it cut short so we let her and it isnt as hard to brush it some mornings!
