Merriam-Webster dictionary defines prophecy as:
"a prediction of something to come"
The prediction is that "many enter through it [the road that leads to destruction]".
The good news is that God paid the penalty for our crimes so that we don't have to.
God allowed his son to die to maintain justice while offering mercy to us all.
The primary point of this video is to share the gospel with those who have not heard it, and nothing else.
Unless we are omniscient we can only assume why people say what they do.

Perhaps there was a misunderstanding. The evidence I was asking for evidence of bronze age folklore that was recycled.

Some make the claim that their were savior gods before who were resurrected on the third day, and I am asking for a quote from the bronze age that shows such claims to be true.

If one does not read writings from that time period than they are merely trusting the writings of others which may not be true.

Please quote the bronze age documents that validate your claim

  • But the bible says that Jesus came back to life. This means that there was no sacrifice. He gave up nothing.

  • @preachinshawn

All of these 'gods' & others I didn't name share multiple similarities. They all were imagined at different points in history, before Jesus Christ, by 100's & even by 1,000's of years.

What is it about these 'gods' that doesn't allow you to believe in them as well when your 'god' borrows so much from them?

All of those 'gods' possess the same amount of evidence as yours does.

The burden of proof is on you not me. You are the one making grand claims with no proof.

  • @preachinshawn Born during winter solstice Birth heralded by the Sirius star [the Morning Star] Received death threats as an infant [from Herut] Mother is warned of threat by god Break in life history from age 12 to age 30 Baptized at age 30 Healed the blind Cast out demons Walked on water Raised a man named "Asar" from the dead. [The name "Asar" translates to "Lazarus"] Had 12 disciples Was crucified & descended into hell 3 days after death 2 women announce Horus' resurrection

There are a plethora of 'gods' that pre-date Jesus Christ & share very similar bios such as Krishna, Odysseus, Dionysus, Romulus, Heracles, Zoroaster & Attis of Phrygia.

The biggest carbon copy that I've seen is the Egyptian sun god Horus of the Egyptian Book of the Dead dating back to 1,280b.c.

    He too was:

The son of a god [Osiris]

    Born to a virgin

Baptized in a river by Anup the baptizer who was later beheaded

    Tempted while in the dessert

    Healed the sick

    [Cont.]

    I will absolutely respond.

You asked me what evidence I had to justify calling it "Bronze Age Folklore". So in response I:

    1] Defined the word 'Folklore'

2] Provided the Bronze Age time period [3,300b.c. ~ 1,200b.c.]

3] Listed two 'gods' that "existed" 600 to 1,000 years [within the Bronze Age] before yours that share extremely similar stories.

    i.e. BRONZE AGE FOLKLORE.

How is it that the historical facts that I have provided are not submittable as evidence?

  • phenomenon717

You said a lot but provided no evidence beyond your own words. I was asking for evidence from the bronze age (like quotes from writings in that time period).

If you don't respond, no problem.

  • @SALVADORENOS1000 HOW SO LOL?
