royal mail are a nasty bully in company 2 work for, you go over your time and they wont pay, work for free

Would be nice if they brought i back, I joined Rm when i left school 9 years ago. Ive seen some terrible changes and most likely will see even more over then next couple of years. Just wish we could go back to that way of working instead of being made to rush around like head less chickens all day long

I remember when it was a great job, it went tits up after 2000, going over to the single delivery in 2004 was when it started to go downhill.

Finn out of Casualty!!!

Deutsche Post are apparently interested in purchasing The Royal Mail, so lets not forget what happened to Rover with BMW, I rekon if the German baby poisioners (Autism Genocide - See Flickr), start getting involved in British Business again, it should be seen as a war action and treated as such.
Interesting how europes problems normally coincide with a newly rebuilt Germany.

Hang on people, it's not the posties that have changed, don't forget that. It's the management that have put them on a different street every week with more post than they could cope with.

back when posties were friendly, they actually knew the street they served and came in time to read them at the breakfast table rather than at lunchtime.

i've worked for royal mail for 2 and a half years and its enevitable that times are changing. however they make out that we are looked after and health and safety for us is our number 1 priority which its not ive realised they will cut corners and risk our health so they can hit their targets and if there is an accident of some sort by them allowing and pressurising us to work harder we get the blame for it.

Remember the advert quite well.

I have worked for them for 26 years on the engineering.. when this was filmed in the late 80's it was a fantastic company to work for...
A Royal Mail that will only ever exist in the past, the new 'competitive' RM couldn't care less about it's customers,

A common story with a lot of businesses these days unfortunately. Going are the friendly faced customer services.
