On July 17, 2010, AZ We Dance held a contra dance at the Cottonwood, AZ Civic Center to the exciting sound of "Pick and Holler" an Old Time String Band. Deb Comly was the caller. In this clip Deb is calling the dance, "A Gypsy for Jessica" by Tom Lehmann and the band is playing, "Sara Armstrong's Tune."

Pick and Holler is a relatively new band, made up of musicians that are not necessarily new to the Arizona dance scene! "Pick and Holler" plays traditional Appalachian Old Time String Band music; the music they play was made for dancing, and that's what this band is ALL about. Pick and Holler is Carolyn Camp (fiddle), Matt Minjares (banjo), and Jesse Anderson (guitar) Lindsay Cates with (upright bass). http://www.myspace.com/pickandholler
