How easy would it be to reverse he circuit? Meaning for instance, say you had a digital audio mp3 file you wanted as the signal and you wanted it to be driven through the LED, but you want the light intensity and the flash duration to match the audio tones frequency wise?

Is there any way I can buy a sample for my son's science project in grade school ? His doing "heart and brain". I'll be forever grateful as I probably cannot pull it off building it myself quickly

@pyro2006i Isn't your kid supposed to build the project for a science fair? This project is made up of several kits, goes together pretty quickly.
