Will Hutton predicts that Occupational Psychologists will get a lot of work with organisations trying to make sense of what business purpose and shared value means for individuals. He thinks the next decade for occupational psychology is potentially going to be a rich one for occupational psychology.

What will matter is growing and holding the organisation together, around a shared vision, and shared purposes. Organisations that want to build powerful trust relationships between their people must have a commitment to fairness.

Firms want to keep their special skills and keep their teams together; they do not want to break their trust by sacking people and want to maintain credit for years ahead. This suggests plenty of opportunity and challenges ahead.
