Mario Kart Wii - The Short Cup (Sunday)

Ah, so that's how long the Short Cup would normally be. This is, of course, including the races being longer than they'd normally are, due to the usual pummeling that happens to me. Sometimes, playing Mario Kart Wii puts me in a bad mood. But I've gotten used to that, for the most part.

Race #1
Moo Moo Meadows
Compared to what happened to me in the previous races, I didn't do too bad in this one. For very short races like these, the item you get in the final set of Item Boxes is crucial, since many people boost out into a high spot all of a sudden towards the end. I got a Blooper, which wasn't really helpful. Bloopers should be more powerful in later Mario Kart games. Like blacking out the screen entirely for 4 seconds or something.

Race #2
DS Yoshi Falls
I did pretty well over here in Saturday's races, so I didn't expect to do well in this race too. Usually, the courses I do well in a Saturday race are ones I do poorly in a Sunday race and vice versa. I wonder if revenge is part of it. No one could catch up to VermillionZero though, and I'll bet that Lightning Bolt actually helped him weather the Blue Shell.

Race #3
Daisy Circuit
At the end of Yoshi Falls, I was ranked 3rd out of 12 overall. The game can't let me have that now...The whole race was one big fall from 2nd to 12th as items I plan to attack people in front with get absorbed by people behind and I get all the items I don't need. Oddly, even though I was in 12th place towards the end of the final lap, five people got hit by varius things, and I scooted by them to take 7th overall.

Race #4
SNES Ghost Valley 2
I messed up on the shortcut in the second lap here. I jerked the Wii Wheep up a bit too late and fell in the drink. I also got blasted by a Bob-omb, then hit by someone with a Star that made me fall off, then collided with a Bullet Bill as soon as Lakitu put me back on. That's pretty much a guaranteed last place in this course when it happens on the final lap.
