Well, start trying to use them. The earlier the better. The more practice you get at them the better. You'll soon get the hang of it, then you'll be playing a billion times better. And you can show off by waving your other hand in the air while you hit all the other notes :P
yeh i know , i just find it confusing doing them . my camera somehow movoes by itself and thats why it was shaky! and i have noticed i spelled rockband wrong lol!
Some advice, you see how the notes are smaller? They are called Hammer on and Pull offs. You don't need to strum for them. You only need to strum the normal sized notes. Trust me, it's ALOT easier than strumming it all. I bet you could easily get 5*'s if you learned to use the hammer on's and pull off's.
