Before we begin, I would like to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for my life, and all the gifts which I've been given in it, including the ability to make this extension. Your name be glorified, my Savior, even in something as small as this. Amen.

"My my, how rude of you to show up at a wedding with all those weapons."

Today's non-sparkly edition of Amateur Extension Theater 2000 is brought to you by the letter N, the number two hundred seventy four, and a whole lot of garlic. I'm your vampire baking host, Alkahest. Hm? You're supposed to stake them, not bake them? Oh. Oooohhhhhh. That means..... gulp.

Anyway! Genso Suikoden II, part of Konami's stellar Suikoden series, follows the story of a young hero who goes from being a lowly cadet of a youth brigade, to the leader of a liberation army striving to remove a demented, psychotic monarch from power.

'Gothic Neclord', meanwhile, is the character boss theme for the nefarious vampire, also named Neclord. Like all good non-Twilight related fiends of the night, Neclord owns a spiffy gothic styled castle, plays the pipe organ to dramatic crescendos, and doesn't sparkle in the least little bit. Yay! He -can- be seen wandering about in broad daylight, but there's a very interesting reason for that. First appearing in the original Suikoden, Neclord seeks a young, beautiful girl to become his 70th Bride in both games; probably best not to ask what happened to all the brides before her. It's your job, as the silent hero in both Suikodens, to stop that villainous vampire in his surprisingly well-dressed tracks! Hint: garlic ain't gonna cut it.

Composed by Miki Higashino, Gothic Neclord is a superb boss theme and certainly one of the better known pieces of music from the entire Suikoden series. It was curiously absent in the original Suikoden (whyyy couldn't it have been in that too?!!?) but that didn't stop me from,

1. Muting the TV set.
2. Hooking my computer up to a pair of big speakers and the all important sub-woofer.
3. Playing 'Gothic Neclord' on my computer and thus through the speakers, while battling Neclord, grinning goofily all the while.

Crazy fanboy much? Oh yeah, I definitely am. Now, thanks to this handy dandy extension (that I'm shocked nobody has ever thought to try and do before now), you too can listen to Gothic Neclord, whether you're brawling in Smash Brothers, entering the stage of history in Soul Calibur, or just plain old picking up groceries at the store.

Especially if it happens to be a grocery store infested by VAMPIRES! MWAHAHAHA!

... sorry. I really love this theme, y'know? Well, this is hardly the last Suikoden theme I plan to extend; here's hoping I can get a bunch of really cool ones done in the near future. Until then, this'll surely tide ye over for now, mateys. Arrr!

.... why do I keep switching over to Pirate lingo? Huh. Well, beats a bad Bela Lugosi accent, I suppose. See you next episode!
