Stop and Frisk, Harlem - NYPD Car Search

NYPD stop and frisk, search the car of 2 men in Harlem. July 30th 2011.

Joseph "Jazz" Hayden films the incident and questions the officers as to why they are searching the man's vehicle. The officers point their flashlights at the camera the majority of the video to hide their faces.

After the stop, the two men who were stopped and searched gave an interview to allthingsharlem.com about how they felt racially profiled and would be filing a complaint with the Civilian Complaint Review Board against the officers.

I can only assume that those who support the police behavior here live in a world where this doesn't happen and, they have drank the cool-aid served up by the media that blacks and crime are synonymous. Well, the policemen in this case released these men without so much as a traffic ticket, an acknowledgement that the men did nothing wrong. There was no crime! Did you consider that when you made your remarks?

@curtisbressler You are partially correct. A cop can search your immediate area if he or she feels you may have a weapon there. So the trunk is off limits but anywhere within a "lunge-able area" is good.
