Police & Fire responded early Thursday morning at 1:31 AM to a call reported as a vehicle into a tree and vehicle into a house. Upon arrival found wreckage strewn for two blocks along University Avenue.
The vehicle which appeared to be traveling eastbound at speeds in excess of 100 MPH. Left a trail of damage and debris starting at the intersection of Runnymede in the west; where the vehicle struck the center-divider and where it left its left front wheel and rim. Careened out of control with only three wheels for two blocks sideswiping into a parked SUV and then taking out two fences and a peach tree before it came to rest with all airbags deployed wedged against a house and what remained of a peach tree across from the intersection of Weeks Street and University Ave. The driver appeared to be Dazed but not injured and was tested for DUI on the crash site. Both the Vehicle and the tree were both a total loss.
