Here is the vid of Kavi preening Roscoe. I don't think Roscoe reciprocates. Kavi was a single cockatiel until he was 8 (human) yrs. old. They share a large cage by choice. They each enjoy solo time with their human companions. Although they bonded to each other, I think being put together later in their lives allowed them to continue to pay attention to their humans, despite the addition of another bird.

  • @Hedonic1 not always true my bird Misty I got him when he was young & he loved me he sing to me try to preen me when I held him he loved me kissing him. 2 weeks after I got Misty I got him some female company but his love for me never wavered. He'd fly to my bedroom to wake me up in the morning for a kiss lol. So it's not always true that the 1st vbird will stop paying attention to you at all

  • @Zarthga I would suggest killing the bird.. with fire of course behavior like that should not be tolerated.

  • my two males do this, but one is a jerk, so when I walk in the room, instead of stopping, he starts attacking the other male.
