[7] New Super Mario Bros World Record 100% speed run in 2:26:20 (Part 7 of 45)

This is the seventh segment of the World Record SDA run on New Super Mario Bros DS

This is what I said on Segment 7 of the run:

A another luck manipulation segment.
2-4: It was also one of the harder levels to speed run 100% mainly because of the damn Piranha Plants at the early part of the course. The later part was also tough as I had to go pass the Hammer bros, then came the easy retro staircase skip by triggering a Koopa sooner by panning the camera and to bounce on top of him.
The luck manipulation was having the Red ? box on 2-Tower.

Hm, that's a lot of swimming. Are you sure it's faster than using a shell?

There's good and bad things about using the shell on this level.

+ Has a slight advantage on the first half (shell dash pass the plants and swimming).

- Slower on the second half because Shell Dashing being slower than normal running.

- With the shell it's harder to perform a triple jump which is vital for the last part of the level.

The shell could make it a bit faster but I mainly wanted luck to be focused on 2-Tower at the time as it has a more notable advantage.

@kmgkatie When you are running, jump. Jump again immediately after you touch the ground. Repeat.

when you are on the main menu screen where you're choosing your file hold down l and r ( buttons on the back ) for a while and hold them while choosing your file

it doesn't always work for me but it usually does

That's basically a Mario Game (without counting Mario Parties & Sports).

It's like a hack&slash game speed run. You only hack&slash.

Or a soccer match. You only kick a ball.

The only way to prove the "easiness" is to achieve it !
