Helen Adams Keller (June 27, 1880 June 1, 1968) was an American author, political activist and lecturer. She was the first deafblind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.The story of how Keller's teacher, Annie Sullivan, broke through the isolation imposed by a near complete lack of language, allowing the girl to blossom as she learned to communicate, has become known worldwide through the dramatic depictions of the play and film The Miracle Worker.
A prolific author, Keller was well traveled and was outspoken in her opposition to war. She campaigned for women's suffrage, workers' rights, and socialism, as well as many other progressive causes.

@videocrack246 Get info about deafblindness. Before, people though all the Deaf by birth were mute because they never had the occasion to learn to talk since they were deaf, they couldn't learn naturally as any other children could do, without an appropriate learning method.

@ZiplineMan789 you were not taught with self respect for anyone, helen keller was probably smarter than u will ever be, think about it could you ever learn to read, write and talk as a blind, deaf and once dumb. Come on man have respect for the integrity of her life, what she accomplished in her life and how many ppl she actually inspired. Believe me I'm inspired by her and i feel wanting to work hard in trying to accomplish my life goals, if she can do it then anyone can.
