A Walk on the Beach - Drawing for Willie and Stephanie

One of the favorite pieces I've done recently. The people in this sketch are amazing, the scene is simple, so the music reflects that. Also, I just love the beach. I miss the beach. There's something about walking on the beach. When you drive up, park, and get out, your problems, issues, worries, whatever, they stay in the car. It's like the sound of the waves pounds back whatever you were carrying and what was formerly overwhelming gets overwhelmed by the innocent ferocity of the roaring liquid rolling toward you. A fury that finally quiets down and gently washes over you as you stand challenging its right to cross its boundary. Like a formless monster that is running toward you, arms outstretched, lungs filled with a salty moist breath that moves your hair and makes you lean into it and when it finally gets to you, it bends down and kisses your feet. It's magic.

@ScheherazOdd Sharpie Pen and a moleskine journal. Lately I've been doing more pencil and graphite work. But I love the Sharpie Pen. It lasts forever and has a great look.
