Great meeting you yesterday at the Chilly Run! The Cartecay is a great river and perfect for beginners but at higher levels there are spots that get hairy and at even higher levels dangerous. Hope we get to paddle together again. I've got the Kudzu Kayakers webpage back to the way it was before the hack.
