Brian Wickman's Speech at First Descents Annual Ball

Did you know the survival rate for cancer patients aged 18-39 has not increased since 1975? Despite the fact that cancer is the number one disease killer in this age range, there is a disappointing lack of support available to young adult cancer survivors. First Descents bucks the trend by utilizing whitewater kayaking and other outdoor adventure sports to promote emotional, psychological and physical healing for young adults with cancer.
