Really enjoy this version...an interesting different style especially with the added verse. Gives the song even more depth and meaning. Good job Lesley!

@ultraroadmap Petula Clark is one of a kind. Lesley Gore is fine, but Petula Clark is a human treasure. Just my opinion, anyway.

That was a damn good rendition....of course, Leslie should have been a superstar like Petula Clarke....not sure why it wasn't to be.

@chuckyegg4 I agree. Sounds like she is" trying to make it sound different" instead of just letting flow out of her. The phrasing and holding on to the end of the words at the end of sentences????? Even though Lesley "Doesn't Own...." this song, still sounds good!

Martha and Vandellas recorded this as well. I like every version and it was not Lulu's song only .On Leslie's version I can hear every word

@strtangel Bear Family Records a Germany based company put out a 5 cd boxed set called It's My Party and can probably be found on Ebay.
