@ghettoperson257 I believe they are out to prevent sudden gust of wind, common in storms, to create sufficient lift before the aircraft has reached V1 (safe rotational speed). Otherwise, the aircraft might lift in the wind gust then stall and slam right back down after.

Wow! That looked like a hairy takeoff for sure! I can tell the turbulence hit as soon as the plane left the ground. That had to have been one brave pilot! I can imagine how those passenger must have felt! Awesome video!
