Great sound by The Demensions. This classic doo wop sound is a departure from their usual big band fare.

  • Real doo wop from this very classy group. Lenny rocks,

  • Amen to that!

  • Nice! I like this one! I didn't know they did this version other than the Hi-Fives version! Thanks again for your very fine collection and letting us hear some of it here!

  • You're welcome. There is much more to come

  • DEMENSIONS VERSION IS FAR SUPERIOR. THANKS PJ

  • Ego Ego Ego...ruins most GROUPS, whether Doo Wop or Rock....for this very reason...Why did the record have to say 'The Demensions' FEATURING Lenny Dell? Fans of the group would know who is who...Find me a Rolling Stones record that says 'The Rolling Stones' FEATURING Mick Jagger! or a Beatles record saying 'The Beatles' FEATURING John Lennon or FEATURING Paul McCartney (especially on Yesterday)...or what about Creedence Clearwater Revival FEATURING John Fogerty....GET MY POINT??? Ego!

  • I like both, but I've always preferred this one.

  • I just listened to the Hi-Fives' version for the first time in a long time, and for what it's worth, I think I prefer this one, by the Demensions.

  • You're right. The Demensions were lost in time at this point. Doo wop was still hitting the charts in '63, but the classic doo wop was getting watered down by pop. It's just a shame that The Demensions had to wait so late into their career to put out such a heavy doo wop ballad.. This probably would have been a huge hit in '61.

The Demensions were a R&R group all the way (check out One More Chance). Irving Spice of Mohawk records has a lot to do with the musical personna they took on.

  • You're absolutely right.. Both are great versions, but they're quite different in their own right
