Interlace mode: Home = Operation Guide = Z+A+2
Deactivate Interlace mode: Home = Operation Guide = Z+A+1

Here is a trick on how to fix Virtual Console Component Support.
I'm sure many of you have this problem. You got an HD TV, you've bought a Component cable for your Wii. You Plug it in, and when you try a VC Game, then the screen goes all Black.

This tutorial will show you what to do, and should work.
But beware not every game support Interlace mode, that is the trick we're gonna use to get this to work.

For example: Games like ''Zelda 2 The Adventures of Link'' won't work on Component Signal, but most of the VC games are supported.

So i hope this video solves your problems.
Wish you luck and happy gaming :D

  • I LOVE YOU! You saved me many Wii points and cable connection frustration! I knew that there's some key combination that might work but I might did something wrong. Now I can play Mario 3 and Mega Turrican! Thank you!!!

  • @Dukefazon

Glad that it worked for you :)

    Have fun gaming ^^

  • It still doesn't work...

  • @MarySeif

Well, then it might be some other problems, this tutorial is for setting old retro Nintendo games, to be function with Component Cabel.

If it dosen't work, then it might be something else.

Sorry that it didn't work :/

Hope you'll find another solution to it.

Just don't give up, and try :D

    have a nice day, and i hope it'll work out, ^ ^

  • @TheAbridgedGamer I'm thinking it might be the offbrand component cables I'm using actually. When I switched back to the old wii cords it worked just fine but looked like crap. Anyways, I can just play Super Mario Bros. on an emulator. Thanks for the well wishes!

  • @MarySeif

Well, i think official Nintendo Component cables are the best, but it's unfortunate that it didn't worked out.

But emulators are always nice at times, have fun playing ^^

  • @OndoreAfonso - Did u ever get the controllers to work?

  • Thx for the hint. But after resolving that problem, now have another one, the controllers doesn't work on the games where I can fix this black screen problem. Tried wiimote and Classic Controller Pro and nothing happens (just the HOME Btn works). I can play turbo graphx, vc arcade and N64 games with these controllers...anyone know how to solve this? Cheers!
