My friend Hanna and I rocked out hard at this year's Burlington, VT pride party. We performed 4 sets over the course of the evening, and despite the blinding lights, blasting speakers, screaming crowd, and rivers of sweat coating my rock-hard body (umm...okay, sweaty at least), I somehow managed not to drop my hoop (although there were a few slip-ups that you can all enjoy and giggle at).
This was our second performance of the evening and our first on this particular stage, so we were still feeling things out. We were alternating stage time with go-go dancers, who (believe it or not) were wearing even less than us. Still, I think my pink striped socks were pretty stylin', even if I was a bit overdressed. ;)
Hanna and I would like to give a big shout out to Jason of LEDHeadyHoops.com for building these hoops for us lickety-split-like in time for our performance. He was always available (even by phone) to answer any of our questions, and his collapsible, rechargeable, color-changing hoops are absolutely the cat's pajamas, no diggity!
And finally, what would a burlington pride party be without our own local D(iva)J Precious? Keep an eye out for his supa-fabulous sing-along skills starting about 15 seconds into the video, and sing out the words too if you know 'em.
