  • Your performance made this dance really authentic!!!

  • @YANAandEnsemble ty dear Yana !

  • Very nice to see this dance. Of course costume gets 10 points from Estonia! But dance is no less. What is interesting is the sound of this music and how it progresses. And the dance draws you more and more in by every second. I believe You are the ya Maria from the village in Upper Nile and thats the main thing, this kind of idea is not easy to portray:) The only thing I would add is to get some sheep and goats and cats walking over the stage and some dirt and laying around:)Thank You and bravo!

  • @kaidiudris I knew that YOU would understand ! before dancing while dressing did a 30 min meditation that I'm traveling in time and going 100 years back ! Karolina Idrisova after the show told me that she felt it also. Love you continue the great work !

  • Lovely! Especially after the first four minutes, when she relaxed and gave a more carefree, fun-loving flavour - more like one thinks of a ghawazee, because at the beginning there was some restraint. As always, beautiful hands. Given the subject, maybe zills would be a welcome addition (maybe next time?)

  • @irmar Ty so much Irmar for your input ! You are right on everything ! I'm planing a different Ghawazee for a next show with zill's and a rare version of Ghawazee with Cane

  • Beautiful and inspirational, as ever, Maria!

  • Fantastic!!! Remember that I had so much fun making this choreo during Lubna's workshop:-) Love the way you presented it on stage!!!!

  • one and only Malema!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done! Very nice dance and I love your hand movements!

  • really beautiful!

  • I agree with kaidiudris about the choreo, the costuming, and the music, but it is YOU, dear Maria, that draws me in! :D To say that you dance with such emotion or expression isn't enough---you dance with FEELING, and you draw us into your world and make us a part of it. Thank you for sharing this, Maria, you are one of my all-time favorite dancers!

  • looks great!!
