Kangals are from Sivas Province (in the Central Anatolia region) of Turkey this is a TURKISH K9, I REPEAT A TURKISH K9!!! not a kurdish, See kurds just like to steal everything and then say it was theres in the first place.

This is a realy big dog and its breed is "Akbash"... This breed is also from Turkey like Kangal dogs... They are realy huge and they are heavier then Kangal dogs...

malaklı - sürü için pek uygun değildir. bekçilik için uygundur.

akbaş - ideal bir çoban köpeğidir.

yörük çoban köpeği - çok sert yapıdadır bekçilik için idealdir. sürüyede uygundur.

boz çoban köpeği - sürü için idealdir.

karadeniz dağ köpeği - sürü için idealdir. tüylü bir yapısı vardır

kars çoban köpeği - sürü için idealdir, karadeniz dağ köpeğine benzer daha iridir

1) Kangal - Sivas - (bildiğimiz)

2) Orta Anadolu Çoban Köpeği(Malaklı) - Aksaray - ağız yapısı matsife benzer, kangaldan iridir ve daha hantaldır (kangal zannedilir)

3) Akbaş - Eskişehir - (bildiğiniz akbaş) kangalla ilgisi yok

4) Yörük Çoban Köpeği - Denizli - az bilinir

5) Boz Çoban Köpeği - Konya - kangala benzer ama ağız tipi,renk ve kafa yapısı farklıdır

6) Karadeniz Dağ Köpeği - Artvin,Rize,Ordu

7) Kars Çoban Köpeği - Kars

@oscargurses No sorry here pal. alaskan malamute is a breed of dog, but anatolian shepherd dog is a classification of a type of dog similar to pitbull, it can vary in type.

@oscargurses Ahh i would love to have a kangal, i have tried after much research on many breeds but to establish a breeding program in the uk, i must have a military export permission to protect the turkish national treasure. BTW do not get a great dane, get a bully kutta they are far more interesting ;)

And another thing if you study more history Roots of the kangal it will tell you something even further befor turkey where it was befor Turkey but thats another whole view at things hey i breed k9s and the kangal has a special plase in my family but where its origins are is the middle east.
