This is my first ever flight on a C17, only the baddest Cargo plane invented (so far). This was a scheduled training flight that we were allowed to tag along on. First, we started with a cargo drop at home base, took off and flew to North Field to de-board and observe our C17 in Training in touch-n-go's, and an assault/combat landing. Then we flew to rendezvous with a refueling tanker (KC135) and finally back to home base. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did. Thanks for watching! And a special HUGE thank you to the men and women of the Charleston Air Force Base for their tremendous hospitality and kindness. You all ROCK!!

  • Wen he said "You know what? You should probably back up." And then the other guy said "Oh OK reverse thrust?" You would think he was right behind the Pilot, but then they showed how big it is, so it's probably not the Pilot.

So what was going on there? Who was he talking to???

  • @Ivansky1 The guy to my right said something like 'watch he's gonna back up', to which I said 'reverse thrust'...Pilots were far away from us. I was however sitting next to one of the Commanders there...he's on my left. The reliable info you may hear comes from him...

  • This is why I want to be a loadmaster.

  • look at those c-17s. damn!

  • @PMAN46 as far as I can tell you with out looking immediatly into it, (sorry about the spelling, I do know what I'm talking about) as an army recuiter about warrant officers and tell him or her that you want to fly c-17s or c-130s or just transport planes.... he'll give you an earful.

  • hehehe, I would have been one of the crew to go fork lift those pallets up. I have loaded pallets almost as fast. Make those rollers SING!

  • LOL. why is the load wearing a safety harness...

  • The army doesn't have transport pilots unless you count CH-47s To fly a plane in the US forces you need to be an officer, so apply to the air force academy or some other officer canadet school

  • actually 'she' doesnt :-) but hey we were still on the ground so, who knows what the protocol is...
