I just beat that mission on veteran. my favorite one in the whole game.

this is THE ONLY mission I play in Hardened mode....all others on veteran...
Defending the bunker at the top is a pain in the ass...you must be on the run ALL the time and shoot everything when it moves(sometimes things that dont move too just to be sure)
