The Man From Tabasco - Mexico

Carlos Cabal, the man who allegedly broke the banks of Mexico before going on the run, claims he is the victim of a conspiracy. The collapse of Cabal's bank in 1994 was the first in a series of high profile economic disasters that nearly bankrupted Mexico. He is now facing trial for tax fraud and embezzlement -- accused of stealing $700 million dollars. However, Cabal believes that he has been unfairly targeted: "They are totally base and false charges ... It is part of a campaign of political persecution that I suffer." His problems began when the political candidate he pledged $15 million to support was assassinated. When he declined to support another candidate and that candidate became president, federal authorities moved in on his companies.

90's where no wonder age for México, the 90's was the fucking age where everyting was sold to the best bider (banks, telephony, etc.), poor politics and poor economy management taked us down to the crisis, one that we still suffer most of mexicans.

Carlos Cabal was surely not the man who made all the economy collapse, but he sure contributed to take us down there with his corruption and greed.

I agree its a lovely country but none the less corruption is what comes with a lot of the freedom and things you can get away with down there.....Maybe I dont care about the corruption because when it comes down to it.....it doesnt affect me, yes that sad and wrong but its the truth I guess that goes for a lot of people who allow it to continue as well.......It happens here and there its just that your caught on the wrong side of the fence
