Very good debate, although the host sides against Angus Stewart; Mr. Stewart does a very good job earnestly contending for the faith. Watch and study and see that the gifts have ceased.
Angus Stewart from the Covenant Protestant Reformed Church in Ballymena Northern Ireland, debates on the subject of the Gifts Of The Spirit.

@rbeasley123 ...work of the Holy Spirit and not discerning is a serious matter. "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.Matthew 12:31
As i documented in the first comment you responded to concerning the Irenaeus. I don't see you understand the severity of Irenaeus being third generation direct disciple of the Apostle John.

@rbeasley123 We should hate Gnostic doctrines that nullify clear N.T. commandments by the traditions of men . 1 Cor 14:37-38 in context warns the "ignorant." who refuse to fully discern what Paul is saying. If you know anything about this doctrine of Cessationism invented by Benjamin Warfield; you would know that he made the mistake of focusing on the counterfeit gifts, & now they blaspheme all the true gifts. @rbeasley123 ...natural Bible study, (facilitated by the heady claim that God does not speak, contrary to what John 10 says) are correct in Cessationist thinking and pontification. We know the supernatural power of the Gospel defined Romans 1:16. You, on the other hand, only have your natural carnal mind abilities that facilitate "head gnosis" claims that God has nullified his clear word. That is the essence, experience, & conclusion of Gnostic Cessationists when God no longer explains His word.

@rbeasley123 Here is a boat load of Scripture for Cessationists that nullify God's clear commandments. watch?v=XTFaEXZvtyc Read Paul warning in 1 Cor 14:37-38, concerning the whole context of 1 Cor. chapters 12-14. rbeasley123, Now your facilitating the inverted hermeneutic Gnostic claim that naturally leavened Cessationists fundamentally conclude. God does not speak to teach His word. watch?v=JeSU22tapoU all parts 3-7. Then we're supposed to believe that all the Gnostic conclusions of...Con't

I must say that Angus is very courageous, because some people will venomously hate him for his point of view.

@FreeTheMasons
scripture please. Angus centers everything he states on scripture, he does not give what he thinks the scripture is saying, he is just simply stating scripture, and presenting it literally. What you and most people do is use head knowledge to interpret what is plainly said.

Watch the quoted documentation in this video @ 4:43 from Irenaeus: Against Heresies Book 3, Chapter 11, paragraph 9. watch?v=D6I0EcMYMuc Angus is a heady blind gnostic that would blaspheme the true work of the Holy Spirit if he saw it, His head knowledge (gnosis) about what he thinks the Bible says, through his Cessationist Historical hermeneutic alone he defaults to; would facilitate the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. As Irenaeus says the Gnostics Montanists fell into the same irremissable sin.
