Ammar performed this effect flawlessly. But from what I heard from some guys in magic shops, they said Derek Dingle, the creator of this effect, does it without hesitation when he riffle shuffles

To the wisecracks trying to figure out the trick, it wouldn't hurt to study a bit more.
This is one of Ammar's trademark routines over his entire career, and he's certainly one of the best performing it.
He's also one of the best magicians in the world, so have some respect. His presentation uses skill as leit motiv, but at the end, magic creates surprise and the final kicker.
Try to learn a bit of class from him for a change.
