Here is my synopsis of ratings.........

G: Kid/Family film. nothing bad.

PG: Family Fun film. some action, mild violence, some blood, scary scenes, and mild language

PG-13: Teenage/Young adult film. a lot of action, intense violence, frightening scenes, much blood, and language.

R: MATURE FILM ONLY. strong brutal action, horrific violence, horrifying scenes and disturbing scenes, blood and gore, and strong/adult language.

HarryPotter 6 should have been PG-13!!!!

The reason it is PG is because the MPAA has calmed down. In the past, they have given PG-13 like crazy. If this had come out two years ago, it would have been PG-13. But the MPAA has changed their rating ways. HBP is like the same as Goblet and Order

Yikes, I seriously doubt Rowling had only children in mind when writing books 4-7. I think it's PG because the story is overall very cheerful. I mean, there are very dark parks, but they're not as widespread as in Goblet and Order. Looking back, I often refer to HBP as "the calm before the storm." That or the MPAA have gone lax on their ratings. I've noticed that recently. I mean, it doesn't LOOK like a PG, does it?
