This was made in 1967, I believe. The clip features Eric Porter as Soames, Kenneth More as Jo, and Nyree Dawn Porter as Irene. This was the REAL Forsyte Saga, not the one with Damian Lewis and Gina McKee. Trouble is that the BBC is extremely unlikely to repeat it because it's in black and white.

I've just bought the box set of the original 1967 series, 6 DVDs in all and some wonderful outtakes and interviews with the cast. Priceless!!

In the 2002 version of "The Forsyte Saga", the actress who plays Irene (Gina McKee) was terribly miscast - - she has a face like a horse. I can't imagine any man lusting after her or being jealous about her. Nyree Dawn Porter, however, would easily inspire lust and jealousy.

I adored the Forsyte Saga and yes, it was made in 1966-1967. The name of one of my daughters is: Fleur! (The daughter of Soames in the Forsyte Saga)
